Why Self-Host?

Is self-hosting safe?

As safe as you make it. With proper security practices (firewall, fail2ban, SSH keys, automatic updates), a self-hosted server is no less secure than a cloud service — and in many cases more secure, because your attack surface is smaller.

Don’t I need to be a Linux expert?

What if my server breaks while I’m on vacation?
